About the awards

The Make it in the Emirates Awards is one of MoIAT’s key initiatives, recognizing excellence and innovation in the industrial sector. It celebrates the pioneers, visionaries, and game-changers that are shaping the future of industry in the UAE and beyond. The awards support the UAE’s transformation to becoming a global hub for manufacturing and innovation.

The prestigious awards fall under Make it in the Emirates– a national initiative that invites investors, industrialists, and innovators to set up operations in the UAE. It recognizes individuals and entities which have significantly contributed to the advancement of the UAE’s industrial sector, offering participants an opportunity to showcase their innovations and achievements.

The awards also increase awareness of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, Operation 300bn, showcasing the UAE’s competitive advantages as a hub for manufacturing and innovation. By celebrating remarkable achievements, the awards seek to encourage further contributions to the objectives of the UAE’s national industrial strategy.

With 15 categories under 5 main pillars – Factory of the Future, In-Country Value, Industry Enablers and Strategic Partners, Leadership and Talent, and Handicrafts – the awards are open to any individual or entity that meets the criteria. This is the first time, the Make it in the Emirates Awards will introduce a category dedicated for handicrafts to showcase fine crafts and concept design to promote UAE’s heritage, sustainability, and development.

For the first time, a new award, the 'ICV Champion,' has been introduced, featuring 8 categories.

The Make it in the Emirates Awards is an ideal platform for local, regional and global entities and individuals to showcase their innovations, including products, services, and solutions.

As part of the Make it in the Emirates Awards’ meticulous selection process, entries undergo a thorough evaluation, assessing their alignment with the criteria outlined for each awards category. The rigorous process incorporates a comprehensive scoring system, with the panel of judges selecting the winners to be announced at an awards ceremony held on day 1, along with the announcement of the ICV Champion awards on day 2 (ICV Day) during the Make it in the Emirates Forum 2025, which this year will take place from May 19 to May 22, 2025, at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition (ADNEC).
